TROODOS MOUNTAIN SAFARI A fantastic journey travelling through rugged pinewood hills and valleys, with breathtaking views and scenery. Places to visit are Mesa Potamos: We journey upstream to reach the beautiful waterfall surrounded by foliage. Platres: A very pretty mountain village, popular with locals and tourists alike. Rest a while for a coffee break. Caledonia Falls: The largest waterfalls on the Island, named after the scented Caledonia trees which surround them with cool spring waters and luscious vegetation abound. Mount Olympus: The highest peak on the Island at 6400 feet. Stand on this mount of the ancient gods and wonder at the spectacular view. Lunch - Worked up an appetite, enjoy with us a traditional Cypriot meze lunch with unlimited wine or refreshments. Kykkos Byzantine Monastery: dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Inside see her icon painted by St Luke, as well as the many Mosaics covered in gold. Milikouri Village: a 12 km off- road experience, descending along a stream, and through the evergreen forest to Ayios Hikolaos Village. |
