Loofahs...The Loofah is an all-year-round climbing plant, with huge yellow flowers and 5-7 multi-split leaves. It's fruits are cylindrical, and during ripening, the interior is transformed into a spongy fibrous mass, somewhat like a mesh.
It can be used for healthy body cleansing, suppressing cellulite and helping blood circulation, leaving the skin feeling softer. The inner layer of the Loofah, which is harder, can be used for treating the rough body areas. It can also be used for cleaning hard surfaces in the house, and washing kitchenware, as it does not leave any scratches.
 

Sea Sponges....Many years of research and experience have taught us, that the sponge is a vegetable creature of the sea, found on the sea bed, in the shape of a disproportionate balloon, mostly growing on rocks, in large underwater camps, at a depth of 60 feet and over.
The sponge makes inward and outward motions, i.e. it puffs and pants in the water, as if breathing. By making these motions, it absorbs and releases sea water, keeping the substances it needs to feed itself.
The sponge is enveloped by a soft and glue-like substance, which looks like skin.
Our fisherman call this skin "Tsipa". When the Tsipa is removed, one can see the spongy mass excreting a milky and sticky substance, which has a very nasty smell, By squeezing this substance out of the sponge, we are left with the sponge in it's 'recognised' form. However, it is still not ready for use, because it still needs to be washed, and to recieve the necessary treatment.
